The Sources wallpaper is block printed onto rice paper sheets using the batik technique.
As the paper is made artisanally, there may be a slight difference in the colour of the dye between batches. If you buy several batches, make sure to remove the sheets from their packaging (gently so as not to damage them) before wallpapering to ensure that they match well together.
The set of 12 sheets will cover approximately 4 square metes. One sheet measures approximately 50x70 cm.
The "Sources" wallpaper is part of a limited edition series of papers in two colourways created by Le Monde Sauvage and Caroline Bouyer. Caroline is an artist and engraver based in the Menilmontant area of Paris. "Sources" is inspired by the natural world, both plant and mineral. The motif conjures up streams, rocks, pebbles and trees. The background is lighter than the pattern, creating a sense that the motif is flowing outwards, an imaginary wave that meanders gently across the paper.
